Otterbein lives by the tenets of the United Methodist Church. But you don’t have to be a Methodist to partake of our care. All people are welcome.

Our history and faith perspective

To us it’s a ministry based on defined values. But in practical terms, Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices is a non-profit, non-denominational health and human service organization open to everyone. Our community is respectful, open and loving to all. It’s important for you to know, however, that we have spiritual resources for you to draw upon.

It’s also notable that Otterbein is not funded by the United Methodist Church. We’re financially independent, making our own way in the world. We’re responsible for our own endowment and developmental efforts. Something to remember when you’re considering a donation. Resources are poured into people, not profits.

For a deeper understanding of our core values, visit the United Methodist Church site and read about our unique “power of connection.”
