Lois Mills

VP, Human Resources

Lois joined Otterbein in 2009 with over 20 years of experience with Fortune 50 companies Procter and Gamble and Johnson and Johnson, where she held a variety of positions in engineering, logistics and planning, human resources and leadership development. 

A native of San Francisco, she received her B.S. Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and later in her career, graduated summa cum laude with a M.A. Human Resources Development from Webster University.
Lois is the Vice President/ Chief People Officer responsible to:

Develop and implement systems and processes to:

  • Assess, select, develop and retain the talent required to accelerate the achievement of Otterbein’s mission
  • Assure competitive programs in compensation and benefits, employee relations, workers compensation, safety, and partner/leadership development
  • Insure Otterbein is in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws

Lois and her husband Roderick, an engineering project manager at General Electric, have two boys, Roderick, Jr. and Warren, are active in their church; otherwise their lives revolve around the boys’ activities. The Mill’s enjoy vacationing at the beach and in the mountains along with annual trips to Roderick’s home in Louisiana for Christmas and Lois’ family reunion in California.
