The Otterbein Home Health team focuses on keeping you out of the hospital and safely at home.
We do that so well, only 14 percent of our patients return to the hospital. A remarkable outcome compared to the state and national averages of 29 and 27 percent respectively. Otterbein Home Health even exceeded the best home health agencies in the nation, whose average patient return is 21 percent.*
We are really working hard to keep you home and get you healthy! Not only does home health provide exceptional, professional and friendly care at your doorstep when you need it, we take the time to teach you how to prevent further hospitalization.
Like all Otterbein’s ministries, home health helps you continue to live well, keep contributing and know you are treasured.

*As of November 2014, identified as one of the top 25% home health agencies in the nation!
Today’s seniors make up a vital, important, growing population. Otterbein, with its mission to serve, continuously seeks ways to enhance this lifestage.
Our exceptional continuous care retirement campuses promote active healthy lifestyles. And our revolutionary small-house long-term nursing care neighborhoods offer security and autonomy. But we wanted to do more.
We created Otterbein Home Health to reach out to the community. To take our highly skilled services and personalized care into your home.
Otterbein found a home health agency with an impeccable record: Pioneer Home Health Care. A Medicare certified agency and serving southwest Ohio, Pioneer’s exceptional patient outcomes and compliance record of zero deficiency made it a perfect fit for Otterbein. We purchased Pioneer in 2009.
This new ministry has produced phenomenal results in the nine counties we serve. Plans are in motion to extend Otterbein Home Health into more Ohio counties.
Otterbein Home Health, like all our workings, is guided by our century-old faith-based ministry. In keeping with our United Methodist tradition, we seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons.
